Don't live near the Northern Beaches (NSW)? Send your carby to us by mail and we'll clean, repair and post it straight back.

Old fuel turns to varnish and chokes the tiny internal jets in your carburettor, causing hard starts, rough idling and stalling. The only real fix is a full strip-down and clean — not a spray-and-pray can of cleaner. Here's exactly what we do once it lands on our bench:

• Initial inspection for cracked housings, worn linkages and obvious damage
• Full disassembly down to the bare casting
• Ultrasonic deep clean to blast varnish out of the microscopic internal passages
• Hand clean and high-pressure air blast through every jet and circuit
• Fresh gaskets and seals fitted on reassembly

Service – Refresh: the full clean above, plus a basic inspection and fresh gaskets and seals — everything most carbies need to run like new.

Service – Premium: everything in Refresh, plus factory float height adjustment and pressure testing of the needle and seat — extra peace of mind for a carby with a known fault or one that's been sitting a long time.

Prefer genuine parts? Let us know when you book and we'll order OEM gaskets and seals for your engine instead of our in-house kit.

If we find damage beyond a standard service once it's on the bench — a cracked housing, worn linkage, etc — we'll always contact you with photos and a quote before doing any extra work.

Sending it to us

Tell us your outboard brand and HP (or vehicle/bike details) when you book, then choose whether you'd like us to organise a prepaid postage label or arrange your own postage. Pack your carburettor securely — the original box or bubble wrap and a sturdy carton works well — with no fuel or oil residue (couriers won't carry it). We'll email you when it arrives, again when it's done, and send it straight back once payment's confirmed.
